What does the ABEC rating mean? Not much. It is really only a way for you to tell which bearing from one manufacturer is better than another. There is no official rating for skate bearings.
Not all 608 bearings are the same. When you skate, you put pressure on the bearing and it actually goes out of round especially if the bearing is made with poor quality steel.
